Information Technology embraces the
use of the computer, telecommunications and office systems technologies,
for the collection, processing, storage, packaging and dissemination
of information.
The Bachelor of Information Technology provides considerable
breadth and depth in Computer Science, as well as intermediate studies
in Mathematics and Statistics, Commerce, Management, Geographical
Information Systems and Computer Systems Engineering.
Following a review of Information Technology, it is possible
that the existing Bachelor of Computing and Bachelor of Information
Technology degrees will be renamed and new Bachelor of Information Technology
and Bachelor of Applied Information Technology degrees introduced.
