Applied Ecology and Conservation Minor Project

Prerequisites: BS2001 or BZ2400 and level 3 BT BZ and/or ZL subjects required for program
Inadmissable Subject Combination: BT4000 BZ4000 BZ4010 ZL4000

Available to students in the BAppSc (Applied Ecology and Conservation) Honours program.

Short supervised project (about six weeks’ duration) attached to on-going research program in applied ecology and conservation in the University or other relevant organisation. Includes project design, targeted literature review, field and/or laboratory work, analysis and final report production.

Learning Objectives:

  1. understanding of basic research procedures and their application;
  2. ability to undertake independent research project, while contributing to a team program;
  3. development of analytical and reporting skills.

Assessment by project report (100%).
