Available to students who have achieved at least a Sound Achievement in senior high school Japanese and to those who have gained a similar level of proficiency through some other forms of Japanese language study.

Studying for this subject combines individual study and attending practicals. Practicals are dedicated to discussions, intensive conversation practice and role plays.
Assessment by oral/aural and written examinations: listening (25%); speaking (25%); reading (25%); writing (25%).
