Prerequisites: FR1121-FR3122 and 8 units level 2 and 12 units level 3 approved Modern Languages subjects with substantial achievement in level 3 subjects

Available to students who have completed FR1121/FR3122 and eight additional units at level 2 and 12 additional units at level 3 of approved Modern Languages subjects, provided they have substantial achievement in all the above level 3 subjects.

Study of French literary and cinematographical texts.

Learning Objectives:

  1. further improve students’ competence in reading and writing French and viewing films and to develop their analytic skills through a study of a variety of approaches to literary and film criticism;
  2. make students familiar with the thought of the period studied.

Assessment by one 3,000 word essay (65%); one 1,500 word essay (35%).
