Available to Information Technology undergraduate students.
This subject is the second half of a minor project in Information Technology. This project will require the detailed design and implementation of the solution to a problem formulated in CP3046 and the verification and evaluation of the results. A complete account of the work done must be submitted in the final report, which should include a critical appraisal of the objective, techniques and results of the project and presented as a seminar.
Learning Objectives:
- apply principles and methods of scientific research undertaken during a supervised research project, from inception to reporting of results;
- develop project management, design and implementation skills;
- produce a substantial piece of technical writing in the form of a thesis or report and in a seminar.
Assessment by on-course assessment including presentations, assignments and submission of project reports. Full details of the assessment are handed out to students in the first week of the semester and will be published on the Web.
