This subject develops writing and presentation skills for television news. Students analyse the qualities that set reporting for television apart from other media. They explore television’s reliance on story telling through pictures, presentation, production values and team work. They are introduced to film-language, editing theory and the news production process and the roles of television news production personnel.

Learning Objectives:

  1. to write television news scripts;
  2. to conduct television interviews;
  3. to present news stories to camera.

Assessment by practical assignments.
