This subject offers students access, by CD Rom and Web delivery, to a subject in Australian History. It comprises four modules: Aboriginal Australia; The Immigrants; Women of Australia and Being an Australian.

Learning Objectives:

  1. understand some of the major themes of Australian history;
  2. be acquainted with the relevant debates occurring within the discipline;
  3. develop ideas and opinions on these debates;
  4. analyse and present historical material.

Assessment by a 1,000 word module assignment (25%); three 1,500 word module assignments (75%).
