An introduction to environmental earth science in the context of earth processes and properties. The content embraces many of the critical environmental earth science issues of our times including the utilisation of water, mineral and energy resources, natural geological hazards, pollution and climate and sea-level change through geological time.

Learning Objectives:

  1. to provide students with a general understanding of Earth processes and responses in the context of environmental issues.

Assessment by a three–hour examination (50%); performance in practical and written assignments (50%).
