Acting 1: Introduction to the Art of Acting

52 hours workshops. Second semester.

Available to all students except those enrolled in the BT.

This subject introduces the students to the specifics of acting as a creative art and to the language of acting and provides them with the fundamental acting skills. Students will participate in a series of exercises, improvisations and interactions with partners, learning the essential acting skills such as relaxation, attention and concentration, truth and belief.

Learning Objectives:

  1. to enable students to identify, obtain, and employ mastery of fundamental key competencies necessary for theatre skills in their profession.

Assessment by relaxation (16%); attention and concentration (16%); “Magic If” (16%); sense memory (16%); fantasy and imagination (16%); creative journal (20%).
