Singing 2

Prerequisites: MU1212

26 hours practicals, 13 hours workshops. Second semester.

Available to all students except those enrolled in BMus.

The subject aims to further develop musical styles in voice and explores appropriate repertoire in a group context. Repertoire will include folk, traditional, modern and pop ballads and will highlight the development of the ballad through the ages.

Learning Objectives:

  1. to enable students to further develop their technical and musical skills in voice;
  2. to further expand students’ knowledge of their vocal repertoire;
  3. to provide experience in musical performance and performance-related activities.

Assessment by progressive assessment (60%); final examination (40%).
