This subject introduces the student to a variety of digital image analysis methods applicable to environmental data. These include spectral enhancement, geometric enhancement, spatial enhancement, registration, multivariate analysis and classification.
Learning Objectives:
- have a working knowledge of the underlying theory of remote sensing;
- be able to apply this theory to digital image analysis;
- be able to analyse and model remotely sensed data and combine with other types of spatial data.
Assessment by project (100%).
