Master Schedule of Subjects Townsville and Cairns

MASTER SCHEDULE OF SUBJECTS

Each subject has a designated code, which indicates its units value, e.g. the code for the subject Introduction to Computer Science I is CP1200:03 and the digits after the colon show that its units value is 3. The first digit of the code signifies the level at which the subject is studied: level 1 subjects generally have 1000 series codes, level 2 subjects have 2000 series codes and so on.

Explanation of Column Headings

Sem/Yr The subject is offered in:
1 First semester (March to June);
2 Second semester (August to November);
FY Full year (March to November);
1/2 Either first semester or second semester. The precise scheduling is still to be determined; or, first semester and repeated in second semester.
Ltd Att The subject is offered in specific courses:
  1. by flexible delivery mode or
  2. by limited attendance on campus.
Block: The subject is offered by vacation or intensive block mode either on- or off-campus.
Prerequisite: A subject which must be successfully completed before a later subject can be studied.
Inadmissible: Credit will not be permitted for both the subject and the subjects(s) listed opposite it in the Inadmissible Subject Combination column as there is a substantial amount of similar academic content in each subject.

A subject may not be offered if the number of students enrolled in it does not reach the relevant minimum level:

Students are advised that all subjects are offered on condition that staff and resources are available.
