Subject Description

    Advanced research skills relevant to evidence-based practice and service evaluation; and qualitative and quantitative methods of data gathering and analysis.

Learning Outcomes

  • demonstrate skill in program evaluation by reviewing and analysing secondary data
  • apply qualitative and quantitative research skills to undertake an applied social research investigation
  • apply skills in analysing research to report research outcomes
  • design and implement a small research project

Subject Assessment

  • Written > Test/Quiz 1 - (10%) - Individual
  • Written > Essay (including multi-draft) 1 - (60%) - Individual
  • Written > Project plan - (30%) - Individual
