Administered by:College of Medicine & Dentistry

Subject Description

Pharmaceutical Public Health is a developing specialty which seeks to influence pharmaceutical health determinants on a population basis, rather than having a focus on the individual patient. This subject allows the student to complete a research project of a publishable standard and should be completed in two semesters. The student is required to work independently with academic supervision and follow a standard research cycle to complete the project in their usual work environment. The main components of the cycle would be the identification of a suitable subject area (to be confirmed with the supervisor), establishment of aims and objectives and literature review and then the development of an appropriate methodology, implementation of project and collection of data, data analysis, write-up of project for publication and final submission.
