Subject Description

    Quantitative research offers insight into causes, comparisons and associations, factors required for evidence- and value-based healthcare delivery. In this subject, students will build their capacity to hypothesise and interpret like a quantitative researcher. Students will formulate research questions, align theory and methods, and interpret and communicate statistical results to address questions arising from clinical scenarios.

  • Interpret healthcare-related quantitative research reports
  • Formulate hypotheses and align quantitative research approaches
  • Appraise quantitative research to determine suitable practice recommendations
  • Interpret and communicate statistical results to non-specialist audiences

Subject Assessment

  • Written > Test/Quiz 1 - (15%) - Individual
  • Written > Poster - (50%) - Individual
  • Written > Test/Quiz 2 - (35%) - Individual
