Subject Description

    This module enables participants to develop an understanding of the rural and remote health service context in which they work. This module explores the broader organisational context in which health services function including the structure and function of the health service at a national and local level, and management, governance, operational and monitoring aspects of health service performance. Participants will be guided to understand the purpose of their service and to navigate their way through the organisational structures and operational processes that pertain to their work unit and health service.

  • justify the value of a work unit as part of a rural and/or remote integrated care pathway by evaluating how its roles, responsibilities and key performance indicators align with, and are supported by, organisational strategic priorities, structure and operational processes
