Subject Description

    This subject provides an opportunity for health professionals to design, teach, evaluate and report on a series of learning sessions using the action research framework.

Learning Outcomes

  • Differentiate between quantitative and qualitative research
  • Recognise the role of research in the professional development of educators
  • Design and implement a series of experiential learning sessions
  • Apply the action research learning paradigm to a series of learning sessions
  • Evaluate and appraise learning sessions using an action learning framework

Subject Assessment

  • Oral > Presentation 1 - (35%) - Individual
  • Written > Literature review - (40%) - Individual
  • Written > Proposal - (25%) - Individual
