Subject Description

The aim of this subject is to foster agency in pre-service teachers' transition to the profession, through consolidation and integration of knowledge and practice gained throughout their degree. This subject will focus on developing pre-service teachers' professional ethics, agency and philosophy of teaching through focused analysis of authentic school-based scenarios, linked to Final Professional Experience. Pre-service teachers will synthesise knowledge of complex ethics and judgement frameworks to identify sources of knowledge, and resources to guide responsive, informed, expert decision-making in relation to student learning and well-being and student family interaction.
