Subject Description

    This subject integrates and extends prior professional learning across the degree to challenge metro-centric understandings of education. The subject prioritises a focus on the affordances and complexity of living and transitioning to the profession in rural and remote communities, including First Nations communities. Preservice teachers will examine policies, research and data to engage with contemporary issues for rural and remote education and develop capacities to partner with communities to enrich reciprocal engagement and professional practice.
