CS1022 - Learning in a Digital Environment

Subject Description

In <i>Learning in a Digital Environment</i>, you will develop the digital literacy skills required to select and use appropriate tools and technologies for learning and research. Through experiential learning activities, you will develop the skills required to use information and communication technologies effectively and ethically to succeed at university and beyond. The subject introduces a range of institutional platforms and productivity software, exploring their functions and uses across different disciplines. This subject will also enable you to apply practices that ensure your safety and wellbeing, while working and learning in a digital environment.

Learning Outcomes

• Search, find, and evaluate the appropriateness of information/sources for academic purposes through appropriate use of tools and technologies
• Use online information and technologies effectively and ethically and within relevant University guidelines
• Communicate, adapt and present information in a range of academic contexts and for peer audiences using a range of information and communication technologies
