Prerequisites:18 CREDIT POINTS OF BU OR BX SUBJECTS

Subject Description

Organisational behaviour is the study of the psychology and sociology of people at work. It is the systematic analysis of the relationship between context - other individuals, groups and organisation structures - and the actions of the individual. As such, we have adopted a case study approach to our exploration and discussion of such topics as motivation, group dynamics, individual differences, leadership and organisational design, among others. In our increasingly globalised business environment, all of this is considered in an international context.

Learning Outcomes

  • analyse and explain the behaviour of people in organisations as individuals and group members
  • acquire and demonstrate an organised knowledge of the discipline of organisational behaviour
  • apply knowledge of organisational behaviour theories towards developing solutions to management problems
