Subject Description

    The subject focuses on the process of providing information about the business's financial and long term competitive performance both financially and in the provision of customer value. Application of different types of management information for assessing operational strategies and evaluating the performance of both managers and operating units. The topics include cost management techniques, relevant costing, management control techniques for divisional and overall business performance measurement.

Learning Outcomes

  • prepare and evaluate information for cost information for organisational decisions
  • articulate the linkage between cost information and organisational strategies for planning, control and decision making
  • critically analyse and evaluate managerial, divisional and organisation performance
