Subject Description
- Advanced research skills relevant to evidence-based practice and service evaluation; and qualitative and quantitative methods of data gathering and analysis.
Learning Outcomes
- demonstrate understanding of research design by designing and implementing a small research project
- demonstrate skill in program evaluation by reviewing and analysing secondary data
- apply qualitative and quantitative research skills to undertake an applied social research investigation
- apply skills in analysing research to report research outcomes
Subject Assessment
- Written > Test/Quiz 1 - (10%) - Individual
- Written > Essay (including multi-draft) 1 - (60%) - Individual
- Written > Project plan - (30%) - Individual
