Subject Description

    The dynamic nature of digital health demands a digitally enabled workforce. In this subject, students explore and apply health informatics concepts, theories and standards to strengthen their capacity and capability for leadership and professionalism within health services that are increasingly digital.

Learning Outcomes

  • Interpret concepts, theoretical perspectives and standards related to health informatics
  • Appraise digital tools and technologies to facilitate person-centred care and participation in health decision making
  • Critically analyse complex problems within the implementation of digital health initiatives and generate effective and ethical solutions
  • Examine one's own digital professionalism and leadership in health informatics

  • Oral > Presentation 1 - (35%) - Individual
  • Written > Problem task - (40%) - Individual
  • Written > Workbook - (25%) - Individual
