Subject Description

    This subject provides an introduction to digital imaging techniques and processes in the media arts. A range of approaches to digital imaging are covered, including lens based, temporal and computer aided techniques. Students will learn about the theory of digital imaging production and the expanded field of media arts. Practical and creative applications of digital imaging will be explored and students will have the opportunity to produce individual creative works.

Learning Outcomes

  • present a clear and coherent integration of digital imaging techniques in creative works
  • design and manage the means of production for a digital imaging project
  • construct effective creative works using appropriate skills associated with digital imaging
  • appraise conceptual frameworks appropriate to the development of digital imaging projects

  • Performance/Practice/Product > Creative work - (30%) - Individual
