MO1027 - Remote Medical Imaging

Prerequisites:MO1006 and Participants are responsible for ensuring they are practicing in accordance with the regulatory instruments of their specific allied health profession, within their own personal scope of practice and experience level and in accordance with the policies of their employer. This module requires an in person visit to a remote area operator site to conduct an audit.

This module has been developed specifically for allied health professionals in the following professions; Medical Imaging.

Subject Description

    This module builds rural generalist knowledge and skills in safe and effective clinical service delivery in context of the remote area operator team. Participants will identify Legislative Acts, map governance frameworks and articulate the challenges associated with the rural and remote context. Using the Quality Improvement models of audit and Plan Do Study Act, participants will conduct a review of x-ray operator image quality and plan the implementation of the review's recommendations.

Learning Outcomes

  • plan, implement and evaluate iterative work-based interventions, including audit, that inform the legal and clinical responsibilities of supervision of remote area x-ray operators to enable safe and effective clinical services
