Subject Description

    Students will explore the differences in the ways that business and the political economy are interrelated in some of the major trading economies. The post-World War II transformations of these economies are discussed, particular as it relates to the differential outcomes for each economy. In particular, business/government relations and the political economic choices made since Bretton Woods are a core of the class.

Learning Outcomes

  • present complex business analyses and information appropriately to differing audiences using clear and fluent communication

Subject Assessment

  • Written > Examination (centrally administered) - (40%) - Individual
  • Oral > Presentation 1 - (20%) - Individual
  • Written > Briefing paper - (40%) - Individual
