Subject Description

    This subject looks at the pattern of industrial change from the Industrial Revolution to present day. It looks at recent industry changes and what creative destruction has done to business models. It also looks at industries under stress and presents a frame from which to examine change.

Learning Outcomes

  • interlock challenges and responsibilities in the global business environment and their implications in terms of sustainability, social responsibility and governance
  • analyse mega-trends and how these trends challenge business practices and policy making
  • identify and contextualize actors and regulatory systems in the conduct of global change

Subject Assessment

  • Written > Examination (centrally administered) - (50%) - Individual
  • Written > Essay (including multi-draft) 1 - (30%) - Individual
  • Written > Case study analysis - (20%) - Individual
