CP5080 - Literature Review and Research Proposal

Available to Information Technology postgraduate and honours students only with the permission of the Academic Head, IT.

Subject Description

Students undertake a literature review of a nominated area of research and develop a research project proposal, on topics specified by IT staff. Students are taught how to analyse papers critically for relevance and significance and to identify potential research projects. They do a presentation and seminar on their literature review and on their research proposal and submit written reports on both.

Subject Assessment

• Oral > Presentation 1 - (40%) - Individual
• Written > Journal - (15%) - Individual
• Written > Literature review - (15%) - Individual
• Written > Proposal - (30%) - Individual
