Subject Description

    This subject has a focus on the development of competencies in research integrity, with an emphasis on human research ethics and research planning. The subject will review topics including research merit and integrity, justice, beneficence, and respect. Development of a thesis research proposal and successful submission of a human research ethics application are some of the requirements of subject completion.

Learning Outcomes

  • differentiate major human research integrity issues
  • synthesise and apply human research ethics guidelines, research design principles, and evidence-based literature to the design of a clinical research project

Subject Assessment

  • Ethics modules; must pass hurdle assessment - Individual
  • Written > Proposal - Individual
