This module requires access to a patient or consumer with a chronic respiratory and/or cardiovascular condition, so as to demonstrate achievement of module outcomes in the appropriate clinical context. |

This module has been developed specifically for allied health professionals in the following professions; Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy.
Subject Description
- This module builds rural generalist knowledge and skills in service provision for consumers experiencing chronic cardiovascular and/or respiratory conditions who are living in rural and remote communities. Participants will enhance their knowledge and skills in assessment, clinical reasoning, client management and self-management skills.
Learning Outcomes
- combine advanced knowledge of the anatomy and pathophysiology of common chronic cardiovascular and/or respiratory conditions and assessment and clinical reasoning skills, to formulate and communicate multi-disciplinary self-management plans designed to optimise care in the rural and/or remote setting in accordance with best practice guidelines and local service strategic intent
