Subject Description

    This subject prepares students to understand and manage complex projects. Special focus is given to project management methodologies, agile project management, lean project management, complex project management, and design management. This course requires "hands-on" application of project management methods by exposing students to organisations with complex projects frequently being late, over budget, and failing to meet specifications.

Learning Outcomes

  • interpret and evaluate various project management methods
  • apply key techniques to optimise project execution in complex scenarios
  • assess the performance of a project and make recommendations accordingly

  • Written > Case study analysis - (40%) - Individual
  • Written > Research report - (30%) - Group
