Subject Description

    Students will be required to demonstrate that their Honours project is of a suitable scope and standard for the degree and that they have the capacity to complete the project in a timely manner with the resources available. The supervisor will assist the student to complete several tasks such as the Literature Review, the Confirmation Seminar, the Pre-completion Seminar and any required Animal or Human Ethics Permits.

Learning Outcomes

  • design and communicate research at the appropriate level in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework
  • demonstrate, at an advanced level, the ability to conduct appropriate research and analysis and extract logical conclusions from the research results
  • demonstrate advanced skills to review, critically appraise and synthesise literature relevant to the chosen research topic
  • communicate research findings using advanced written and oral communication skills

  • Oral > Presentation 1 - (40%) - Individual
  • Written > Proposal - (40%) - Individual
  • Written > Reflection/reflective task 1 - (20%) - Individual
