Subject Description

    Introduction to trusts and their operation in Australia including the types of trusts, the creation of trusts, trustees and their responsibilities, beneficiaries and their rights and tracing.

Learning Outcomes

  • an understanding and knowledge of the law of trusts
  • ability to analyse and assess the law
  • ability to identify legal issues and to apply the law to given factual situations

Subject Assessment

  • Written > Examination (centrally administered) - (50%) - Individual
  • Written > Test/Quiz 1 - (30%) - Individual
  • Written > Case study analysis - (20%) - Individual
