Subject Description

    In this subject students will work on cybersecurity projects using the latest tools and strategies as a basis to plan, secure and/or test different types of infrastructure by following industry best practices. Students are encouraged to select a project from the industry, local community, or university research community. Cybersecurity projects will be developed in teams to work on industry relevant topics to provide practical experience and best practices in a professional context.

Learning Outcomes

  • acquire practical experience on actual cybersecurity projects
  • apply appropriate cybersecurity tools and technologies to meet project requirements
  • discuss and implement specific cybersecurity standards and best practices
  • convey technical information clearly through presentations, demonstrations and documentation

Subject Assessment

  • Oral > Presentation 1 - (30%) - Group & Individual
  • Written > Case study analysis - (30%) - Group
  • Written > Project report - (40%) - Individual
