Subject Description

    In this marketing subject, students will draw on, apply and demonstrate marketing knowledge and skills to solve applied societal problems. This subject will analyse the process of formulating and implementing marketing strategies and programs that bring about sustained behavioural change. The subject will analyse theories, analytical tools and frameworks appropriate to marketing in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. Students will have the opportunity to enhance, demonstrate and document 'work-ready' skills appropriate to a career path in marketing, business consultancy, services, not-for-profit, health, environmental and social marketing.

Learning Outcomes

  • research and analyse marketing data to recommend social marketing strategies and tactics for a behavioural change campaign
  • describe a range of contemporary approaches to monitoring social marketing performance / success
  • analyse and evaluate an organisation's strategic plans and resources and advise market opportunities and threats
