Subject Description

    Organisations succeed through the collective efforts of individuals. However, these efforts are frequently derailed by conflict, politics, deficits of leadership, or sub-optimal organisational structure. This subject analyses the various levels of structure and interdependence within an organisation, from basic teams to macro-level culture and structure, leveraging social psychological principles to identify best-practices for enhancing collective motivation, performance, and satisfaction. This subject will explore key topics in team dynamics, group processes, and organisational culture. In this subject, students will also review and discuss theories and practices in organisational design.
