Subject Description

    Quantitative and Qualitative research methods play an increasingly important role in health service research, health policy and the development of health services. This subject introduces students to a variety of research methods and will aid them in the development and completion of the research components of the MPharmPH program. Topics covered will include: the theoretical and conceptual foundations of research, the design of project proposals, ethical aspects of research and the generation and analysis of data from both quantitative and qualitative aspects.

  • demonstrate an ability critically analyse quantitative and qualitative research data
  • demonstrate an ability to critically analyse and review research reports
  • demonstrate an ability to critically analyse, review, evaluate and design a research proposal
