Subject Description

    This subject will focus on the application of key theories and specific strategies related to teaching and learning in clinical and healthcare contexts. Concepts explored in this subject will focus on the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of teaching applicable to consumers and other healthcare professionals.

Learning Outcomes

  • Critique and evaluate strategies and approaches suitable for teaching and learning in healthcare contexts
  • Apply principles of teaching and learning in healthcare contexts
  • Demonstrate the processes involved in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating teaching relevant to healthcare environments
  • Develop strategies to overcome common problems when delivering teaching relevant to healthcare environments

  • Written > Test/Quiz 1 - Individual
  • Written > Essay (including multi-draft) 1 - (30%) - Individual
  • Written - teaching plan - (20%) - Individual
  • Performance/Practice/Product > Portfolio - (50%) - Individual
