Subject Description

    In this subject, students commence their major Honours project in an approved area of research interest, to involve either the writing of a thesis or a combination of creative work with accompanying journal article and research folio. Students work intensively with an approved supervisor and by the end of this subject, should have made substantial progress towards the final defined outputs.

Learning Outcomes

  • Indepth knowledge of an area of the creative arts
  • An understanding of how to structure a thesis or develop a journal article
  • Advanced creative skills or ability to reflect on creative practices through text
  • Advanced research, reflection and analytical skills

Subject Assessment

As this subject is part of a subject chain, a final standard grade (e.g. P, C) will only be recorded for each subject after successful completion of all parts of the subject chain.
