Subject Description

This subject is one of three capstones offered through the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Program for Business. The subject enables final year students enrolled in the College of Business, Law and Governance to work together in groups to investigate and develop a solution for a project sourced from industry. Identification of suitable projects occurs through collaboration between the College and industry partner organisations. Students work in groups of up to six with each group having a mix of majors. Students are advised of their allocated group in the first timetabled workshop. It is a requirement that students attend the 3 hour timetabled workshop each week. Students conduct project work in addition to this contact time and receive support and project direction from academics and industry partner for the project's duration. External students are not eligible to enrol in this subject. More information on the Business WIL options is available via the 'WIL in BBus' Organisation on LearnJCU. Students should contact enrolments@jcu.edu.au if unsure of their eligibility for WIL. Students at JCUB and JCUS should consult Academic Staff.
