Subject Description

    This subject introduces management theory, policy, project planning, advocacy and leadership as they pertain to public health. Topics include: people management, leadership, policy, project management,advocacy, workforce and project evaluation. Case studies will be reviewed, discussed and critiqued as part of the learning process. This subject prepares students to be able to deliver public health programs and to apply their public health knowledge into a work setting.

  • distinguish key elements of effective management communication
  • appraise the basic principles of management theory
