Subject Description
- Candidates will prepare a substantive literature review on a specialised topic within the natural sciences. The topic is to be selected in consultation with a suspervisor(s). The review should be a critical appraisal of the objectives, methodologies and results of previous research relating to the topic.
Learning Outcomes
- the ability to understand theoretical concepts in a range of topics which give background to the research
- acquire proficiency in critical literature evaluation
- gain experience in problem-solving and scientific decision-making
- develop skills in preparing and presenting written technical reports
