PP5101 - Advanced and Integrated Physiology

Subject Description

    This subject will focus on advanced topics in respiratory, cardiovascular and musculoskeletal physiology, integrating these three topics at the cellular, organ and whole body levels. This subject expands on the principles and concepts discussed in the Medical Physiology subjects with particular emphasis on the integrated function of these systems in exercise as well as in special situations (diving, high altitude, space. Subject content and learning objectives as for PP3101. Students will normally be required to attend PP3101 lectures, tutorials and practicals and complete an advanced assignment or equivalent work to postgraduate standard.
