Subject Description

    This subject continues building basic level communicative skills across the four macro-skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Learning Outcomes

  • apply skills necessary to discuss comparisons; express simple reasoning; describe obligations; describe acts of giving, receiving, doing and receiving favours; discuss past experiences; communicate effectively on the above topics also in reading and writing; glean simple information from authentic TV/radio broadcast; and recognise eighty additional <i>kanji</i> words/characters on top of the one hundred and fifteen learned at Foundation level and in Basic Japanese 1

  • Invigilated > Centrally-administered final exam - (45%)
