Subject Description

    This subject is designed for those who have either completed Foundation Japanese at JCU or have studied Japanese elsewhere, but not quite up to Year 12 level in high school.

Learning Outcomes

  • apply skills necessary to discuss routine daily activities; make requests, offer assistance and extend invitations; ask permission and express prohibition; talk about the weather, climate, seasons; discuss skills and abilities; express intentions and desire; ask glean simple information from authentic TV/radio broadcast, and recognise sixty additional <i>kanji</i> word/characters on top of the fifty five learned at Foundation level

  • Invigilated > Other exams - (40%)
  • Non-Invigilated > Assignments - (15%)
  • Invigilated > Centrally-administered final exam - (45%)
