Available to students enrolled in the Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Health Professional Education, Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma of Rural Generalist Practice or by permission of the Subject or Course Coordinator or Head of School.

Subject Description

    This subject provides an opportunity for health professionals to further develop their teaching skills in areas including innovative assessment, simulation, elearning technologies and audio.

Learning Outcomes

  • Describe approaches for innovative clinical assessment in the health professions
  • Communicate the outcomes of learning innovation in health professional education
  • Design and evaluate an innovative learning opportunity for learners in the health professions
  • Discuss a range of innovative learning approaches and technologies suitable for health professional education

Subject Assessment

  • 1a & b online teaching (oral) and written essay with lesson plan and justification - (35%)
  • Written essay - (30%)
  • Design and produce an educational video - (35%)

Special Assessment Requirements

Satisfactory completion of all assessment items and Contribution to the Discussion Board is a hurdle requirement.
