Subject Description

    Two weeks French immersion in French speaking countries: formal linguistic instruction, excursions and field trips, home-stay accommodation.

Learning Outcomes

  • have an awareness of, and discuss the political and social situation in French speaking countries
  • give insights into francophone culture(s)
  • have advanced French language skills

Subject Assessment

  • On return to Australia, assessment of oral skills by interview (50%) - (50%)
  • Non-Invigilated > Essays - (25%)
  • Non-Invigilated > Assignments - (25%)

Assumed Knowledge:  To undertake this subject, students must have successfully completed 12 credit points (four subjects) of level 1 study at tertiary level
