Subject Description
- This subject focuses on the concepts and processes of environmental and regional planning and design. Human perceptions of environments, community participation and the process of designing/ planning for an acceptable balance between human use and the physical environment are part of this focus.
Learning Outcomes
- define the main principles and theories of sustainable environmental and regional planning
- critically review and analyse planning policy, project and practice
- employ knowledge of broader environmental and regional policy and produce basic environmental plans
Subject Assessment
- Invigilated > Tutorial attendance and participation - (10%)
- Group project (presentation and group report) - (40%)
- Individual essay - (50%)
