Subject Description

    The research component of the professional doctorate will consist of a literature review and clinically oriented research in a specific area of specialist dentistry culminating in a substantial dissertation. The presentation of the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry thesis may follow a similar style to the PhD thesis, however published work may also contribute partly or wholly to this dissertation.

  • conduct substantial advanced research in the student's area of specialisation and present the outcomes as a dissertation to the acceptable standard

As this subject is part of a subject chain, a final standard grade (e.g. P, C) will only be recorded for each subject after successful completion of all parts of the subject chain.
